The American Institute of CPAs Launches Leadership Academy

In July, 2009, the American Institute of CPAs launched its inaugural Leadership Academy, bringing together leaders of the accounting profession, including AICPA President and CEO, Barry Melancon, CPA, Ernie Almonte, CPA, AICPA 2009-10 Chairman and 27 young CPAs, aged 25-34, from around the country. The AICPA aims to identify, develop and prepare young leaders who not only have superior technical skills, but also the potential to shape the direction of the profession.
